What is Pre-Arranged Cremation?
Pre-arranged cremation is a prepaid trust program that locks in the cost of cremation at date-of-purchase prices.
It is typically purchased for oneself and/or one’s spouse, in anticipation of the expenses that arise following death.
If the planholder lives for multiple years beyond the plan’s purchase, the long-term savings can be substantial.
Assuming the planholder’s death eventually occurs somewhere within the geographic limits of the purchased plan,
his or her remains are then removed and cremated and delivered to the family, as arranged, at no further cost to anyone.

At The Nautilus Society, each of our plans is all-inclusive, and falls into one of two categories: Worldwide or California.
Unless the death of a planholder is certain to occur in California, we suggest purchasing a worldwide plan –
which guarantees removal, cremation and delivery of the planholder’s remains, no matter where the death occurs.
Payment for both the Worldwide and the California plans can be made in full or in monthly installments as you prefer.
Worldwide Coverage

radius of any of our eight California offices.

The Nautilus Society’s worldwide coverage option literally expands our service area from most of California to the entire planet.
Upon the death of a planholder, regardless of where the death occurs, our worldwide pre-arranged service plans are guaranteed. Removal and cremation will take place locally, after which the cremated remains will be shipped back to California or to wherever the plan designates.
If you have purchased a pre-need cremation plan with California Coverage, and you wish to upgrade to Worldwide, you may do so for no additional fee. You’ll pay only the $495.00 difference in price.
The Nautilus Society’s most basic coverage option includes all of the counties that comprise our California service area.
Upon the death of a planholder within that service area, our pre-arranged service plans are carried out personally by our team. Removal of the planholder’s remains from the home, hospital or care facility is guaranteed within 24 hours of our receiving notice. Each cremation is done individually under strict guidelines.
Final disposition is handled at your request. Cremated remains can be returned to the family, scattered at sea or in a cemetery garden, or delivered to whomever the plan designates.
